Located northwest of Yala, Lunugamvehera (Zone VI) serves as a vital wildlife corridor between Yala and Udawalawe, supporting elephant and large mammal movement.
Sharing a similar habitat with Yala, this zone offers a quieter safari experience with fewer crowds. While leopards are less visible due to limited human exposure, sightings of elephants, sloth bears, deer, and diverse birdlife are common.
The 3,500 acre Weheragala Reservoir, adds scenic charm and attracts numerous water birds and raptors.
For a tranquil safari rich in biodiversity, Lunugamvehera is the perfect retreat.
