Home to the world’s second-highest leopard population, it’s where wildlife dreams come alive. With 41 to 60 leopards per 100 km², some areas host nearly one leopard per square kilometer, a density unmatched by any other top predator.

Special Notes for Safari Visitors

  • Currency: Only Sri Lankan Rupees accepted at the park.
  • Resident Permit: Carry your Sri Lankan resident permit physically to get local ticket rates.

Safari Timings:

  • Morning Safari: Be at the park entrance by 6:00 AM
  • Evening Safari: Be there by 2:30 PM

Ticket Counter:

  • Opens at 6:00 AM, closes at 4:00 PM
  • Must buy tickets before 4:00 PM

Park Hours: Open from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

No driving allowed between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Dress Code: Wear light-colored clothes to avoid disturbing wildlife.

Vehicle Rules:

  • Do not leave valuables unattended.
  • Do not get down from the vehicle except at designated areas.

Prohibited: Alcohol, fire, loud music, feeding animals, collecting animal/plant material.

Before Leaving: Check you have taken all your belongings.

Essentials: Bring camera battery, sunglasses, insect repellent, water, and snacks (if not included in your package).

  • Morning and Evening safari will start 115$ and every additional people will add 30$ up to 6 peoples. Beyond 6 people the same calculation will be calculated form the beginning.
  • Full Day safari will start 170$ and every additional people will add 30$ up to 6 peoples. Beyond 6 people the same calculation will be calculated form the beginning.
  • Morning and Evening safari is 60$ for 6 peoples. Beyond 6 people up to 12 people should take another vehicle paying 60$ per vehicle.
  • Full Day safari is 120$ for 6 peoples. Beyond 6 people up to 12 people should take another vehicle paying 60$ per vehicle.
